Bush will soon officially call the fighting officially over in Iraq. Will the war slowly disappear from TV, just like Afganistan?

Will we get used to future attacks on Servicemen, just like we have gotten used to the daily killing of Palestinians by Israelis soldiers? Will the stories of officially dead Servicemen last as long an ice cube on a hot Atlanta sidewalk? How tolerant will we be? It all depends on the PR machine. So far, it has been real effective.

Even as the sands of Iraq fade into American economy stimulus packages on our TV, we will not be reminded of preemptively invading and defeating a dilapadated army in a country the size of California, that had nothing to do with September 11th. No, we will be reminded of defeating the "evil ones" .

Speaking of evil, does anyone know what the alert level is? I think it is "Yellow". Somehow Bush has to either raise it it or remind us again what his definition of "yellow alert" is. By the way here is the latest statement from Tom Ridge.

"While we continue to be at risk to the threat of terrorism at an elevated level, extensive protective measures remain in place throughout our nation. As Secretary Rumsfeld has noted, hostilities from Operation Iraqi Freedom still continue and there is, "a lot of work left to do." We must be vigilant and alert to the possibility that al-Qaida and those sympathetic to their cause, as well as former Iraqi-regime state agents and affiliated organizations, may attempt to conduct attacks against the U. S. or our interests abroad."

Bush will have to use this alert to keep up the element of potential terror in America. He has set the stage well enough. He has done more than any President in living history, to make us one of the most hated nations on earth. He may have to emphasis that danger. He just won't mention why, more people hate us.

Without the fear of terrorists hanging over our heads, he will have to rely on his domestic agenda alone. That won't work. He doesn't have a workable agenda . He also has to also hope the Democrats continue to flounder on which platform they want to present to the public.

I think I know what his tactics will be; pick a fight, then stand back wait for them to lash out, and then say "see I told you he was an evil doer.

He will continue to provoke North Korea, Iran and Syria. That could be good for a couple of months. Sure there is a slight risk there. One of those countries may not understand that Bush is pushing for good Gallup Poll numbers. He has to keep dancing, until he can completely establish a new base of military operations in the Mid-East.

Iraq and Afganistan is keeping a lot of the military pretty tied up. He will probably remove a large number of our forces from Germany and a few other "old European" bases and relocate them to the "New Mid East" headquarters around Qatar. His goal is to be able to easily fight a 2 front war. Once he feels he is there, Goodbye UN, Hello Imperial America. All hail Georgie!

Korea is the wild card. Kim Jong Il is a lot like Michael Jackson, isolated with a surreal sense of the world around him. Come to think of it. George has more in common with both of them than he may realize.
