The man is on steroids, he is ready to take on the world, one at a time or all at once. Like the Cowardly Lion said in the Wizard of Oz. "Come on, I'll put one paw behind by back! Come on, Come on!"
Donald H. Rumsfeld recently issued a warning to Iran and Syria telling them that if they are responsible for any Hostile acts, they might suffer some severe consequences. It was reported that one of Bush's aides went to warn Bush that Secretary is "raising the specter of a broader confrontation"
Bush reportedly smiled a moment at the latest example of Mr. Rumsfeld's brazenness, recalled the aide. Then he said one word "Good" and went back to work. The man loves war, doesn't he?
This is a very telling portrait of our Leader. What else does this tell you about his personality and his plans for the area?
For a year now, the president and many in his team have privately described the confrontation with Saddam Hussein as something of a "demonstration conflict", "an experiment" in forcible disarmament. It is also the first war conducted under the new national security strategy, of
"do onto others even-if-there-is-only-a-slight-chance-that-they-may-someday-in-the-next-5-years do unto you" Iraq seems to be a model of sorts of what to do with the next invasion of a sovereign nation.
So, I guess Syria and or Iran and or N. Korean maybe next. I wonder if he is going to say that he is going to place Democracies in each of those countries too? He could call that conflict "Operation Moslem Free Mideast" Maybe he has plans of combining Iraq, Syria and Iran and redraw the lines in the sand to set up one large country. He could call it BushLand, Texas II, maybe Oilraque, Oilran. With Bush's sensitivity towards other cultures, he would probably call the new North Korea, Land of little yellow people.
Maybe these countries will not get attacked first. Maybe these countries have nothing to lose and say, "what the heck" let's use the US logic against the US! Attack first and ask questions later. Let's hope they are only rumored to have nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, and they won't attack first.
Back to the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy hit the Cowardly Lion in the face, and he started to cry. Where is our Dorothy when we need her?
