The United States helped block an international inquiry into the shooting of hundred's of protesters by Uzebekistan's security guards. This is all despite of Condoleezza Rice's public statements that international involvement in an inquiry into the killings was "essential." Some feel that the U.S. would rather let Uzbekistan kill unarmed protesters rather that risk the loss of an American air base and rendition of Iraqi's to Uzbek torture.Torture R Us
